Holland & Barrett Folic Acid Tablet is suitable for vegans and vegetarians. Vitamin B is normally found in a variety of foods, including lentils, liver, broccoli, and spinach. The daily intake of 400 µg of folic acid for at least one month before and 3 months after conception increases the maternal folate status. Low maternal folate status is a risk factor in the development of neural tube defects in the developing fetus. Folic acid also has many additional benefits including supporting normal blood formation, immune system function, reducing tiredness and fatigue, and can support cell division.
