Here is a recipe for making delicious low carb protein bread. This bread is ideal for those following a high protein or low carbohydrate diet.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups almond flour (you can also use flaxseed flour or coconut flour)
- 1 / 2 cup low-carb protein powder (preferably unflavored)
- 1 tablespoon of baking powder
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 4 eggs
- 1/4 cup olive oil or coconut oil
- 1/4 cup Greek yogurt or fat-free yogurt
- 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 180°C and line a bread mold with baking paper.
In a bowl, mix the almond flour, protein powder, baking powder and salt.
In another bowl, whisk the eggs, oil, Greek yogurt, and apple cider vinegar until smooth.
Pour the liquid mixture into the bowl of dry ingredients and mix well until you obtain a smooth batter.
Transfer the batter to the prepared loaf pan.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 35-40 minutes or until the bread is golden brown and a skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool before cutting it into slices.
This protein bread is high in protein thanks to protein powder and eggs, and low in carbs thanks to almond flour. You can enjoy it on its own, toasted, or as a base for low-carb sandwiches. It's a great option for anyone looking to increase the protein intake in their diet or want to reduce their carbohydrate intake.
